Explicații Wikipedia: After killing Townsend, Reddington took injured Liz with him and while she recovered, he gave task force detail of people who could take over criminal world after Townsend, so task force can stop them. In the meanwhile, Reddington planned his retirement and shared idea with Liz that before his illness takes his live, she should kill him to prove the world that she took over his empire. Halfheartedly, Liz agrees but finds it hard to pull the trigger while a close aide of Townsend comes and shoots Liz before Reddington kills him. Task force arrives at the crime scene while Dembe takes Reddington and escapes.
