Castle is intrigued by the case and Beckett reluctantly follows his lead, knowing that they will not be able to enjoy their weekend until the crime is solved. The trail leads to a retired mobster, Vincent Cardono (Don Stark), a methamphetamine syndicate, and corruption in the police department. Meanwhile, Ryan and Esposito try to find out the identity of Beckett's boyfriend. Ryan discovers Castle and Beckett's relationship, but chooses not to reveal the secret.
