Explicații IMDb: During the annual major science fiction convention, Nebula 9 - super-fan Audrey O'Neill, who finally organized a life performance starring the short-lived series' original cast as well after decade of 'webipsodes' with a nerd couple, is found dead on set, killed with a real 'space laser' (of which only two working ones were custom-made). Castle, who thinks he has better taste, is amused to find Becket was part of a college fan group. The team works out various personal, career and business motives as well as opportunities for cast and crew.

Explicații TMDb: When a body is found at a sci-fi convention, Castle and Beckett are warped into the heart of fandom -- a world of egotistic celebrities, diehard costumed fans and enough drama for two galaxies.

Explicații Wikipedia: One of the fans of a cult science fiction television show is murdered at a fan convention, leaving Beckett and Castle caught between avid fans and celebrity egos. Suspicion turns on the cast of the original show when they learn that the victim was resisting plans to revive the series for modern audiences. This episode contains multiple references to Nathan Fillion's leading role in Firefly (referred to as "that Joss Whedon show"), a short-lived science fiction television show that actually has reached cult status.
