Explicații Wikipedia: The DA's office confirms that they are going forward with the Borders inquiry. Bosch visits retired detective Ryan Rodgers, who also worked the Skylar case, to retrieve old files. Bosch explains the Borders case to Maddie; Borders was described by witnesses angrily accosting Danielle Skylar after a date where she rebuffed him. She was raped and murdered two weeks later, and Borders was convicted on the basis that her seahorse pendant was found in his apartment during a police search. Maddie starts dating another intern named Tom, who is shadowing Christina Henry's CIU team. Digging up dirt on the Borders appeal, Hector finds that Borders has covertly married a local woman named Rita Tadesco while imprisoned. In light of the collision, Billets faces pressure to retire Crate and Barrel or transfer them to CAPs Division. Detective Arias reports to Edgar that Gary Wise and Bo Jonas never showed to their meeting, and Edgar finds Gary shot dead later. Detective Pierce combs through security footage from the Evisquel pharmacy in the week before the robbery, finding a heated confrontation between Evisquel Sr. and Carter, the Garcia clinic's van driver. Evisquel Jr. sneaks back to Los Angeles to view his father's body, narrowly escaping from Carter.
