Explicații Wikipedia: Michael Desiato is a respected New Orleans judge. His son, Adam, suffers from asthma. In the morning, Adam is revealed to be sleeping with a young woman. On the anniversary of his mother's death, he visits the spot where she was killed in the 9th Ward. He gets spooked by a threatening-looking gang, and quickly drives away. Scared, he begins suffering from an asthma attack, and while looking for his inhaler he hits Rocco Baxter who was on a motorcycle. Getting out his car, Adam finds Rocco near death. Adam tries to help Rocco and calls 9-1-1 with Rocco's phone, but cannot think straight and drives away after Rocco dies. He confesses what happened to his father, who tells him he must turn himself in and that he can probably make a good case for himself. When Michael goes to the station, he learns the boy Adam killed is the son of Jimmy Baxter, the head of the largest organized crime group in New Orleans. Knowing he will have Adam killed, Michael tells him that they have to cover it up. A man working for Jimmy finds Adam's inhaler at the scene and keeps it to himself. Michael cleans the evidence and throws it in the river, but their dog steals a piece of bloodied cloth and hides it in the house.
