Explicații IMDb: Ryan is taken prisoner by the trio who kidnapped Joey Matthews and he immediately starts to create a wedge between them. The farmhouse is quickly surrounded by the police and Ryan convinces them they have no way to escape. Emma, the coolest of the three in a tense situation, contacts another follower, Roderick, who is keeping Claire Matthews captive. It's soon apparent that Joe Carroll's influence goes very deep, and he has a great many acolytes. Meanwhile Debra Parker, FBI agent in charge of the kidnapping case, recalls her own personal experience of life in a cult. As the scene unfolds at the farmhouse, Joe Carroll tells his lawyer that a new part of the story is about to begin.
Explicații TMDb: Joe Carroll's true intentions are revealed through a new follower, Charlie. As Ryan learns of Joe's plans, he tries to stall Emma, Jacob and Paul by taunting them in hopes of turning them against each other. Meanwhile, Emma makes a shocking decision.
Explicații Wikipedia: While being held captive with Megan, Hardy is able to cause dissension among Emma, Paul and Jacob. Emma sneaks Joey away while Paul and Jacob scuffle with Hardy; Paul is stabbed by Hardy, who takes the opportunity to help Megan escape. Emma is caught by Weston, who is shot by a local policewoman later revealed to be working with the mysterious "Roderick". Paul and Jacob are able to escape with the help of other Followers disguised as FBI agents. Faced with this turn of events, Hardy, Parker and Weston begin to question their assumptions about the case and realize that The Following is much bigger than a cell of three individuals. Meanwhile, Charlie holds Claire at a remote warehouse, where he mentions that Joe wants her to survive and reveals an attraction for her after years of surveilling her. Turner eventually finds Claire and takes her home, where she is upset that Emma escaped with Joey. It is also revealed that Agent Parker grew up in a cult with her parents, leading to her expert knowledge of the subject.
