Explicații TMDb: Officer Nolan gets off to a rocky start after being introduced to his new training officer, Nyla Harper, who has an unconventional approach to police work after her stint as an undercover detective. Meanwhile, Officer Bradford struggles to think of an appropriate birthday gift for Rachel, and Officer Lopez finds herself navigating a case that triggers a personal memory.
Explicații Wikipedia: Nolan gets introduced to a new training officer, Nyla Harper, a former undercover detective. He is confused by her extreme police tactics, notably overseeing minor offences. They pull over a car with no plate, and all four occupants flee, with one falling of a roof top. Harper puts forward her body cam, showing he jumped himself and she didn't push him. While on patrol, they encounter Ross Teagan, who was a known drug dealer from Harper's past. An operation is commenced to set up Teagan, but another suspect, Osito, is spotted leaving the scene by Nolan. Together with Bradford and Chen, Nolan and Harper descend on Osito's location, leading to his arrest. Grey also has Harper apologise to Nolan for her treatment of him, which he accepts. Bradford struggles to find a birthday gift for Rachel, and reluctantly accepts help from Chen. West and Lopez apprehend two boys who bothered a homeless woman, Alice Sheldon, whom turns out to be responsible for a hit and run ten years ago. They track down her victim based on a photo she left, who is identified as Karin Arnoux. Despite initially being against Lopez’ defence of Sheldon, Arnoux later decides to stand up for Sheldon.
